In order to overcome negative information, we need most of all to believe in ourselves. However, self-affirmation - crying out, "I can do it!" - is often not enough in most cases.
Becoming truly self-confident involves an overhaul of the basic operating system that runs our brain. In order to gain that confidence, we need to prove to ourselves what type of a person we really are, or what we are capable of.
The only way to prove ourselves to our ourselves is through our actions. Only then will we convince our brain that we mean what we say. Such self-confidence and belief will not come in an instant. We have to earn our own trust over tim, by being consistent in our actions and words. This is called integrity.
