Most people have tremendous human potential for healing that far transcends the capabilities of traditional Western Medicine. Tapping into these skills can allow individuals to balance their own lives, as well as create positive changes in the lives of others.

For example, a healing touch may be able to alleviate symptoms of significant injury. A new study from researchers at the University of Colorado found that acupressure treatment can help individuals overcome many of the symptoms of traumatic brain injuries.

"We found that the study subjects with mild traumatic brain injury who were treated with acupressure showed improved cognitive function, scoring significantly better on tests of working memory when compared to the TBI subjects in the placebo control group," said Theresa Hernandez, who led the investigation.

She added that the findings could have major implications for the treatment of individuals who return from foreign wars, as many of them suffer traumatic brain injuries in the line of duty.

The findings confirm Ilchi Lee's thoughts on spiritual healing. While individuals are still encouraged to see traditional doctors, alternative methods may complement these treatments.
