Ilchi Lee on Brain Flexibility

passion October 2nd, 2007

From a translated lecture by Ilchi Lee Many people can’t play with their brains; instead, they live treating their brains as if they are delicate and untouchable. If a person who claims to know her brain lives in this way, then she has been caught up in emotion. To say that she has been caught up in emotion is to say that her brain is tense. First, we must make our brains flexible and we must take back our brains from emotion. Only then can we make ourselves happy. That is healing. When our consciousness changes, our lives change immediately.

Let’s keep our brains flexible!!

Ilchi Lee: Parenthood Is the Highest Honor
From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the BrainNo position in the world is greater than that of Father and Mother. The position of parent is greater than any other in the world, including those of president, government minister, and CEO.

The Best Kind of Life

Ilchi Lee on the Best Kind of Life
From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the Brain

Parents are the sponsors of their child’s life story, not its protagonists. Most answers come out of the head of the child asking the question. When we have dreams through which our souls are able to inspire us, we can live lives that inspire others, as well. Such is truly the best kind of life.

We have to live the best kind of life. And we have to make the best kind of life.

Ilchi Lee on Developing Proper Attitude in Children

edward September 13th, 2007

I think  parents shoud be a spiritual teacher…

From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the Brain

Attitudes of life, like persistence, tenacity, patience, and earnestness, are developed in an environment where your child can focus and from something he can focus on. Rather than having children memorize one more bit of knowledge, a flood of which is soon to overwhelm them anyway, developing in them such life attitudes is much more worthwhile. And it is indeed the most wonderful form of family education parents can give.

“Vision Tree”
Power brain kids book
By Ilchi Lee

On a large piece of paper, draw the trunk and branches of a tree. Label the trunk “my life,” an dlabel the branches with aspects of life thtat are important to the child - school, relationships, character, sports. etc. You may leave some branches to fill in later. Then cut out leaves from green construction paper. Write on the leaves any goal the child has - to read a certain book, to change a habit, or to gain a certain skill. Tape or glue the leaves on when the goal has been achieved. Hang the tree on the child’s wall and watch it and your child blossom!

moving forward towards a better way of living

Have you ever heard of Shambhala? It is a legendary name, of Nepal, and represents a world or way of living at a higher vibration. This higher awareness is what we are seeking, and I appreciate and honor the community of like-minded individuals I have formed through the practice of Dahn Yoga. Ilchi Lee writes about many of the same themes as so many other contemporary inspirational leaders and writers, and I believe we are all working towards different views of the same future.

Children Need Time Away from Study

Children Need Time Away from Study
From a translation of Ilchi Lee’s book The Power of the Brain

Many parents have focused their children’s thinking and behavior solely on study, and their only justification for this is that their kids need to get into a good college. Children need plenty of time to think, dream, and play, but they put off all of this until after they get into a good college and, as a result, they to through a belated puberty at a time when they should be deciding their course in life and pursuing it in earnest.

If you give this opportunity to your children, come to Dahn Yoga Center for Brain Education. That’s not a knowlege study.
This is study for mastering brain.
