Slowly and Softly

admin February 2nd, 2009

Dahnhak Ki-gong, unlike other Ki-gong systems, has an unusually large number of circular, calm, soft movements. The trick is to slowly focus the mind on the movements we are doing. If we rush and move quickly, rather than being filled with energy, our bodies tire as a lack of oxygen causes the production of lactic acid.

Precautions

• If severe vibration occurs when you perform Ki-gong, exercise self restraint. Its all about Ilchi Lee research. You can stop the vibrations consciously. If the vibrations occur while training with your eyes closed, open your eyes and take deep breaths, slowly moving your awareness to your Dahn-jon. Vibrations, if intense, can cause energy to be exhausted.
• Do not train when you have overeaten or are hungry.
• Avoid wearing tight clothing or tightening your belt too much.
• Avoid training too much all at once or using too much tension. Being too ambitious and training for long hours in the beginning stages, when Ki is not yet circulating adequately in the meridians, can cause side effects if the body is unable to handle the energy.
• Do not overly concern yourself with any miraculous or spiritual experiences you may have during training. Neither fear nor its opposite, obsession with these experiences, are good for train ing. Just look at it as another phenomenon of training and move on to the next level of your practice.

Allow your brain to breathe and relax properly

admin January 6th, 2009

Unfortunately, in many cases, the brain is infected with a “virus” that renders its main program inoperable. Now it is time to reorganize the files and reactivate the main program by finding and deleting that virus. Throw away the files you don’t need and reorganize the ones you do. Then you will realize how good the equipment that you have on your journey is. Remember, you have to do hardware and software maintenance to keep your computer running at optimum efficiency. Hardware maintenance consists of allowing your brain to breathe and relax properly, while software maintenance is feeding constructive and “good” information into your brain. (These lines are copied from Prof Ilchi Lee book)

How easily you will travel and how far you will go depends on how well you use your brain. If you use your brain well, it will make your journey much easier. If you don’t organize the information in your brain, you will encounter hardship and misdirection, adding misery to your trip. Whatever the case, you have to finish the race by running the distance allotted to you. When your soul reaches the destination and achieves what it originally sought to achieve, only then is it freed from its responsibility and allowed to return to its original nothingness state of zero. This is the salvation of the soul, to have come back to where it started. This is why there is no beginning and no end.

We started by talking about computers, and we have come a long way since that. We need a concrete conclusion that can help us live this life. Knowing what we know now. what is meant by “living right”? If we see only the patterns and not the reality behind them, we will always live in anxiety and fear, although it might be punctuated by fleeting moments of gaiety. If we see only the nothingness and not the marvelous pictures created by the flow of Life Current, we will sink into a morass of inactivity and emptiness.

Ask Your Heart and Talk with Your Brain

admin January 4th, 2009

Here is an article about heart and brain by Ilchi Lee. If your choice requires you to completely change your life, change directions, and leave the comfort and security of the path that you have walked so far, it is natural for hesitation and second thoughts to accompany such a decision. However, as you know already, more calculations and deliberation do not make the choice any easier or wiser. Ultimately, the decision is a one-time choice.

The question to ask is simple: What is it you really want? What are the things that fill your heart with hope and joy? Ask your soul and heart this question. There is no guarantee that your choice is the one that corresponds to that original hope that acted as the seed around which your soul was built. However, if you don’t ask your soul, where else would you direct the question? If not to your heart, then where?

The soul is pure. Since it is pure, it is simple. It knows what it wants and it is always ready to do anything to get it. Once you have asked your soul and received the answer through your heart, then it is time to discuss how to go about getting it with your brain. Your brain is a monitor that displays the movement of the Life Current and records its paths. Your brain is part of your basic equipment to help you on your journey, much like a notebook computer you take on business trips.

Find the real center of the natural harmony

admin December 28th, 2008

How much time did it take for human beings, descendants of monkeys but with an advanced intellectual potential, after making their appearance on Earth and wondering at the mysteries of the stars, Moon, and Sun, to realize they were not at the center of the known cosmos? In the beginning, it was probably humiliating and absolutely terrifying to relinquish the notion that the universe revolved around them. But now, it is evidence of the maturity of human awareness. Now it’s time to once again present evidence for our continuing growth. We need another Copernican Revolution in the collective human consciousness. What we need now is to realize that humanity is not the center of Earth and to find the real center of the natural harmony. That center of harmony is the Earth, not human beings.

Sir Ilchi Lee writes that the central standard of value for our life here on Earth should be Earth Herself, not our egos, needs, wants, and prejudices. We can use Earth as the standard by which to judge all actions on Earth. From such a point of view, we all become Earth-Humans first, before we are a part of a group, nation, or religion.

If there were no Earth, then no altars could exist for you to worship your god. You wouldn’t exist, nor your god. Without Earth, no nation would exist, nor would political ideologies with which to rule a nation. With eternal hope, we may eventually all learn to recover the zero point and become one with the cosmic consciousness. However, before that happens, it is more crucial that we attain an Earth consciousness. To do so, we need to overcome the group egotism that binds us, knowingly or unknowingly. All our choices and actions should be judged by the effects they have on Earth. All our choices should be geared to empty the scale of Earth and return it to zero. That is the reward and the responsibility of our choices. From zero to zero—this is the expression of the grand cycle of the cosmos.

Perfectness of our inner knowledge

admin December 21st, 2008

The way we recognize or see an object is like using a scale. Each person is using his own scale to weigh an object. Accordingly, everyone will have a different weight for the same object. This is akin to us seeing the same object in different ways. Why is that? Are these scales imperfect? No, there is nothing wrong with the scales. It’s possible, right now, to see that there is nothing wrong with our internal scales. Lean your body to one side. When it is leaning to one side, ask yourself who is really you. Are you the one who is leaning or the one who recognizes that the body is leaning? Let us change the question. Is your recognition perfect? If not, are you the one whose recognition is imperfect, or the one who knows that her recognition is imperfect? How you do know that your recognition is imperfect?

The reason Ilchi Lee describe that we know the imperfectness of our recognition is due to the inherent “perfectness” of our inner knowledge.

Whether you know it or not, there exists within you a grain of “perfect” knowledge, not as a result of some effort on your part, but as an inherent gift to all human beings. This core of perfect knowledge is enlightenment, and it is your choice to recognize it or not. This core is the basis for all recognition. This is what I mean when I say that there is no flaw in our internal scale.

Why, then, do we see the same object in different ways? Why do our scales read different weights for the same object? It is not because your scale is off, but because your scale is not calibrated to “zero.” Why is your scale not calibrated to “zero”? The answer is simple. There is already something on it.

Interpret the Heavenly Code

admin November 16th, 2008

We may interpret the Heavenly Code as an exercise in mathematics, philosophy, or even the study of energy. Each letter of the Heavenly Code contains its own distinct letter or numerical meaning when read and energy/musical characteristics when sounded. This combines the effect of numbers/ratios, and sound/energy characteristics of individual components to create a holistic effect, as an actual representation of the Principle of Harmonious Order that it records. Thus, the Heavenly Code itself is Harmonious Order. This is Yullyo for Yul means a numerical ratio and Lyo means rhythm. Therefore, Yullyo is a cosmic system of numbers expressed as rhvthm. This is Cosmic Harmonv. This is Peace.

The essence of ChunBuKyung lies in the phrase, “In Joong Chun Ji II,” which signifies that the heaven, earth and human are all connected in the Oneness. This Oneness is defined as a beginning without a beginning and end without an end, a point out of which all came from and will go back to. This Oneness is expressed by the character “II,” meaning One.

One Begins Unmoved Moving, That Has No Beginning
One Divides To Three Crowns, While Remaining A Limitless Mover
Heaven Comes First, Earth Comes Second, Human Comes Third
One Gathers To Build Ten, And Infinite Forms Become The Trinity (of heaven, earth, human)
Heaven Gains Two To Make Three, Earth Gains Two To Make Three, Human Gains Two To Make Three
Three Trinities Make Six, And They Create Seven, And Eight, Nine Appears, And There Comes A Turning
Three And Four Form A Circle, Five With Seven Makes One Whole
Way-Less Is The Way All Comes And All Goes, Features Are Changing, And Change- Less Is The Maker
Divine Mind Is Eternal Light, Looking Toward Celestial Light
Human Bears Heaven And Earth, And The Three Make One
One Is The End Of All, And The One Has No Ending

Bright Intelligence and Powerful Joy

admin September 27th, 2008

The way to overcome doubt is not by blind belief, but through a knowing or awareness, the true source of intelligence. When you “know” something for sure, then doubt automatically disappears. The human transition, from an age of belief to an age of knowledge, was heralded by unforgettable words uttered by a famous scientist about six hundred years ago: “But the Earth still rotates around the sun.” Doubt has always been necessary for protection from danger we could not sense or see. However, as we develop the ability to perceive whatever danger lurks, we no longer need this protective mechanism. When we have outgrown the need for doubt, we will finally be able to think as we wish and will no longer be led by uncontrolled thinking.

Fear has an even greater presence in our lives. Emotions in the limbic system can be classified into two basic categories… fear and love. Based on these two simple emotions, an action of advancement or retreat, acceptance or refusal, is determined. The energy of love is expressed in human desire to socialize and become a part of a community. The energy of fear is characterized by desire to avoid pain or, failing that, to fight. How can we possibly overcome such deeply rooted instinct?

When we become angry, fear takes one step back. When we feel courage, fear takes two steps back. However, it is always on call to rush back to our side in times of need. When we feel joy, we feel fear melt away. Fear and the associated negative emotions that it gives rise to all melt away in the presence of genuine joy. When we can utilize the power of joy to overcome fear, we can then fully use the capabilities of our limbic system. We will no longer be led by our emotions. We will instead lead them.

Doctor Ilchi Lee says that the most effective way to generate joy is by smiling and playing. This is simple perhaps, but profoundly true. It’s the reason why smiling and playing is a significant part of training in Brain Respiration. Joy generated by smiling and playing will melt the fear in our hearts or, more precisely, our limbic system, and will allow us to activate its potential. Only when we overcome doubt and tear with bright intelligence and powerful joy will we access and utilize the full potential of our brain.

According to DahnYoga rules the neo-cortex gives us the ability for introspection and creativity. Together with energy and information these give us power of life and death over all life on Earth, including our own. Now we are ready to use this power to look deep within ourselves… deeper than ever before… to meet with the source of life. The moment of meeting the life source within is the moment of our enlightenment. And through the power of collective enlightenment we will create the harmony and wisdom to establish a civilization based on harmonious order.

Ilchi Lee on Brain Flexibility

passion October 2nd, 2007

From a translated lecture by Ilchi Lee Many people can’t play with their brains; instead, they live treating their brains as if they are delicate and untouchable. If a person who claims to know her brain lives in this way, then she has been caught up in emotion. To say that she has been caught up in emotion is to say that her brain is tense. First, we must make our brains flexible and we must take back our brains from emotion. Only then can we make ourselves happy. That is healing. When our consciousness changes, our lives change immediately.

Let’s keep our brains flexible!!

Ilchi Lee: The Choice between Negative and Positive Information

passion October 2nd, 2007

From Ilchi Lee’s book The Twelve EnlightenmentsEven God’s house has a garbage can.  The most negative information in the world is still information and, as such, has the right and hope to become realized.  Divine garbage or hell is a place that has the conditions in which this negative information can most readily attain reality.  When good information gathers, it creates the conditions under which it can prosper by expressing itself in reality.  When bad information gathers, it also creates the conditions under which it can be realized, leading down the path of ever worsening spiral.  We, as humanity, are standing at the edge of this narrow ledge.  One step either way and it will be difficult to reverse the direction.

Let’s make positive information attain reality…

Ilchi Lee: Trust

passion October 2nd, 2007

From Ilchi Lee’s  site

Prove Yourself To Your Brain While you need to trust your brain, you have to allow your brain to trust you. To secure the confidence of your brain, you must check yourself regularly, again and again, because we are all subject to all types of doubts and fears. It is not through your thoughts or words, but rather through your actions that you can really check yourself. Through your actions, you must show yourself what kind of person you are, persuade your brain of this, and win your brain’s total trust. If you think a lot, but do not act, it shows that your brain power is not yet adequate. Your brain is failing to send a signal powerful enough to move your body. No creation is possible without action. Nothing meaningful at all happens without action.
