Once your body is fully relaxed and your mind has quieted, you can begin to follow the natural rhythm. Focus intently on your physical sensations. Allow the vibration to spread out to all parts of your body. As the body starts riding the rhythm, it becomes completely relaxed, and the skin starts vibrating. The breathing becomes natural, and all the motions follow their own rhythm. At this time you will begin to make spontaneous movement with your body. This is the process of the body healing itself. Small, subtle vibrations become bigger as they start getting more deeply into the rhythm.
Follow the flow of energy.
Once the vibration becomes natural and familiar, you will become increasingly aware of the movement ot energy within your body. Allow yourself to follow that flow. Just like hitting the accelerator in order to speed up a vehicle, this increased energy will speed up and strengthen the waves of the vibration in your body. While the movements tend to get bigger at this point, they will also become more graceful and free-flowing. Just by moving your body, you will activate your brain in ways that sedentary behaviors, no matter how mentally rigorous, cannot. Why? Because all parts of your body arc connected to your brain, and when you move, many diverse parts of your brain are stimulated simultaneously. The goal of Brain Wave Vibration is to completely quiet the mind so that the latent powers of the brain can come to the forefront. However, this is not so easy for most people, since they are accustomed to constant, habitual chatter in their minds. Instead of vainly trying to shut off your mind, you can concentrate on a sin¬gle positive thought. Choose something highly empowering that relates to your personal vision. For example, it could be something as simple as, “I am whole. I am one.” Chant this to your¬self, either silently or aloud, as a personal mantra while you prac¬tice.
Through this process, the vibrations of your own voice will add to the overall effect on your brain waves and will strengthen your transformational intent. If you have any weakness, pain, or disease in your body, you can also say the name of that particular body part as you practice Brain Wave Vibration. For example, if you are having a problem with your heart, then repeat a simple, affirmative statement, such as “Healthy heart, healthy heart.”

Strictly speaking, Brain Wave Vibration practice does not require music. It is about your own internal rhythms, not about moving to a beat as you would when you dance. However, music can be helpful when you begin. Obviously, very slow and senti¬mental music is not suitable for the vibration. The most effective music for Brain Wave Vibration is music with a strong basic beat, such as that found in many forms of traditional drumming. I find Korean as-mul-no-ri to be especially effective because it awak¬ens the brain with a lively combination of sounds from gongs and drums, generating a powerful vibration that you can feel throughout your body.
In addition to sa-mul-no-ri. percussive folk instruments from Africa and South America otter a simple, primitive repetition of sound that replicates the basic rhythms of life. Music is helpful to induce the proper state of mind for Brain Wave Vibration in the beginning, but as time goes by, the rhythm of the body should overpower the rhythm of the music. Be sure to focus inward at all times and allow your own rhythm to come forward.

Science, tending to reject that which cannot be directly ob¬served, usually dismisses the notion of life energy as superstitious and irrational. In the past, however, many scientists sought proof of what they called elan vital, an invisible life force that animates living creatures. Unable to find such proof, scientists have tended to prefer a more mechanistic understanding of life, and they reject this concept.
However, they do know that one measurable form of energy does play a role in the body—bio electricity. Bio electricity is the language used by the brain to communicate with all the organs of the body, telling them when to spring into action, when to speed up, and when to slow down. Signals are sent down through the nervous system via nerve fibers, which signal a myriad of biological processes, from muscle movement to organ functions.
Furthermore, we know concretely that the brain transmits its own special brand of energy, called brain waves, which are associated with various states of consciousness. Interestingly, it is now the absence ol these waves, rather than the cessation of the beating of the heart, that indicates clinical death.

Too many people today have already accepted their limitations as permanent. They look at their lives and say, “This is my best. This is good enough.” They just follow blindly and emptily through a succession of routines and social obligations. They look at the troubles of the world and say, “There is nothing I can do.” These are the sleepwalkers of humanity. Unless they can wake up and realize their real potential, they are essentially already dead. The denial of one’s own infinite power is one of the greatest sources of misery in the world, and many people are tragically caught in the trap of believing in truncated, shrunken versions of themselves.
At times, it may indeed appear to you as though the world is spiraling downward. And in fact, it is not certain that we will ultimately make the right choices to ensure our collective survival. However, there is a tremendous amount of hope to be had. Humanity is awakening.
I know you are not one of the sleepwalkers. You are waking up, and you can see the vibrant beauty of the world around you, a world with which you are one, a world that you can also help create. But you must not sit in bed wondering what to do with your day.
